Treasure-Adventure announces the launch of Treasure Across America, its first online treasure hunt game and contest set to get underway on September 1, 2006. The game, inspired by the Gold Rush of 1849, will challenge players to traverse the American countryside from the eastern shore to California, exploring history and solving puzzles and riddles related to real lost treasure legends along their way in pursuit of a ,000.00 grand prize.

The upcoming competition had been planned and announced on the Treasure-Adventure web site since early 2006, and “We are pleased to be opening the game to registrants on schedule, and hope treasure hunt lovers will find it unique, fun, and challenging, as the concept is different than other treasure hunt games currently available,” said president Kaydee Grant.

She went on to explain, “No other treasure hunt game is like Treasure Across America, in that contestants will actually investigate and solve clues relating to real treasure tales of lost fortunes that history has told are littered throughout the countryside. Some hunters may even be inspired, like those during the Gold Rush, to set out on a quest to track down and uncover these long lost riches.”

In the spirit of exploration and intellectual pursuit, the game is more focused on delivering content than graphical effects. This also ensures a faster download speed. Players will be challenged to rely on their wits, skill, creativity, and ingenuity – not chance — as they traverse the nation state-by-state across any or all of three transcontinental trails solving clues surrounding legendary treasures to ultimately reach the California Gold Coast and capture the grand prize.

The game will be accessible publicly at http://www.treasure-adventure.com for all to explore and enjoy, although in order to enter answers in the competition for the grand prize, a small registration fee of is required to cover administrative expenses, as further detailed on the Treasure-Adventure.com web site. Deadline for entries is January 31, 2007. Players must be 18 years or older and U.S. residents.

Treasure-Adventure is planning to offer limited content-specific advertising and sponsorship space on its treasure hunt web pages. Interested parties may inquire further by email.

Using the latest underwater locating equipment and “proprietary technology”, the company has located several new sites recently, both in shallow water coastal areas and deeper offshore waters.

We believe we have the most comprehensive list of shipwrecks in the world today”, said Greg Brooks. “With this list in hand, and combined with the advanced technology available to us today, we are aiming for a few “special targets” and are about to start preliminary operations on them”.

The ship, M/V Son Worshipper, will arrive in Portland harbor later this week. An open house of the ship and its equipment is planned to inform the public how operations are carried out. “There is a huge public interest surrounding shipwreck research and salvage”, said Greg Brooks, “The lure of sunken treasure is in all of us, we just go the extra steps and go find it!”.

New Metal Detector Website Debuts

As the world thrives in a state of technological frenzy, many favorite pastimes are thrown by the wayside. One such lost hobby is treasure hunting with a metal detector. While it’s unlikely that someone will find a helicopter buried in the sand, the little treasures that are found with a metal detector is what makes the hobby so fun.

Javier Garcia is a treasure hunter and a new entrepreneur who wants to share his love of metal detectors with the world at large.

“I think it’s something that’s fun that everybody – kids and adults – can do,” said Garcia.

In January 2009, Garcia launched www.MetalDetectorItAll.com, a site that carries a wide array of long-range and handheld metal detectors, as well as accessories such as headphones. The web store also has a selection of security wands.

Boasting an impressive catalog of brands and detectors with various features, Metal Detector It All is one of the most comprehensive websites online.

“We try to really have everything that a treasure hunter would need,” said Garcia, “but we also have to think about what else metal detectors could be used for which is why we also have security wands. It’s a very good tool to have if you have a business, like a nightclub, that requires one.”

Garcia has also started a new informational blog (www.MetalDetectorItAllBlog.com) that runs in conjunction with his website.

“It’s a way for us to communicate our ideas about the different ways metal detectors – whether they’re underwater ones or handheld ones – can be used,” explained Garcia. “We’re also inviting people to share the stories of treasures that they’ve found. I feel like it’s a very good way to get involved in a community of people who like to hunt with metal detectors.”

Though the site is still in its infancy, Garcia is working diligently at adding more products to his site and expanding on some of the ideas in his blog. No more than a few keystrokes away, there’s sure a treasure to be found at MetalDetectorItAll.com.
